The Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS) Homeowner Assistance Fund helps homeowners who are in a difficult financial situation due to the coronavirus pandemic. As part of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, Oregon has received $90 million to help eligible homeowners avoid mortgage foreclosures and displacement, and to cure delinquencies and defaults. The HAF program can help homeowners through a Past-Due Payment Relief program and an Ongoing Payment Relief program. Please note that funds are limited and cannot serve all in need. Find out if you are eligible to apply or click below to learn more.
Please review this website for information on the HAF programs offered, the HAF five-year forgivable loan, general and additional eligibility criteria, the application process and timeline, supporting documents, reasons for the withdrawal or denial of applications, and other resources that are available for homeowners. The information on this website does not include all of the rules and requirements for the HAF program. The Oregon Homeowner Assistance Fund is controlled by terms provided in the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, U.S. Treasury guidance, and Oregon plan and program terms. OHCS makes the final determination on applicable terms and application eligibility.
